Sajjangarh fort also known as the Monsoon Palace is a palatial residence set amongst a hilly terrain. It was built-in 1884 and named after Maharana Sajjan Singh (72nd ruler of Mewar). The fort offers a breathtaking view of the city of Udaipur and its lakes. The fort was initially constructed to view the changing clouds of the monsoon season. The Monsoon Palace is genuinely an excellent site. At night, the palace is illuminated giving an overall orange hue. The property sits like a beautiful tiara accentuating the landscape surrounding it. The mansion also overlooks a wildlife sanctuary which in turn adds to its overall beauty and appeal. You can savor an entire experience of taking a boat ride on Lake Pichola and enjoy a spectacular view of the palace.

Another lake to visit is the famous Fateh Sagar lake. It is an artificial lake named after Maharana Fateh Singh of Udaipur.
